The versatility and appeal of the amazing new Z5400 Designjet wide format printer was clearly evidenced by the wide cross section of business people who recently attended the premiere launch in Melbourne.
Representatives from print copy shops, prolabs, photo specialty stores, architects, designers, point of sale providers, photographers, graphic arts specialists, education institutions and commercial print providers attended the invitation-only event at the HP Experience Centre.
Attendees printed files and discussed how they could use the wide range of media available from the Z5400 to broaden the scope of their product offering to better satisfy the diverse needs of their customer base. A number of the guests were surprised at the Z5400’s versatility in being able to print literally everything from Photos to Maps, Technical drawings, Indoor posters, Outdoor banners, Backlit films, Self-adhesive vinyls, Metallic finishes, Canvas and Fine-art papers.
HP has designed the Z5400 to address a growing number of critical market factors now impacting businesses. These include the ongoing convergence of the print and photo industries, an increasing demand from consumers wanting a greater range of products and services, an increasing need by customers for products to be delivered more quickly and the fact that all sectors of the business community or consumer marketplace are becoming increasingly mobile and on-line.
Guests at the event also heard details of the innovative SmartClick program now available through Photo Direct. Every new printer ordered would enable owners to maximise cashflow, improve productivity, enjoy a lower total cost of ownership and have a partner in Photo Direct committed to helping customers grow their margins and overall business success.
